Anthony Davis Injured Against Suns on Scary Play

The Los Angeles Lakers won Game 3 of the series against the Phoenix Suns. Well, the team deals with a really big issue at the moment. Anthony Davis got injured in the game and fans have questions.

The Lakers big man came up limping after the big block in the first half of the night. AD chased down Suns guard Devin Booker and blocked his layup. However, he did come up limping after the block. Davis’ flexed his left leg straight out and complained about the discomfort.

Mark Medina of USA Today reported that AD plodded to the locker room and was the last one to leave the court.

AD started the second half and looked a bit less than 100%. He finished the night with 34 points and 11 rebounds in the 109-95 win.

“They don’t want to come out,” Lakers coach Frank Vogel said on the broadcast before the fourth quarter. “Guys are having some gutsy performances.”

TNT Chris Haynes asked Davis about the injury, and the big man laughed.

“Come on Chris. You know better,” Davis said behind a grin. “You know I’m good. We got two days to rest.”

Anthony Davis hopes he won’t get injured

AD is really confident about his health and hopefully, he will finish the postseason without sustaining an injury.

“I feel great,” Davis said prior to the play-in game against the Warriors. “The progression was something that I definitely wasn’t used to. I never took that many games off at one time — 30 games in one season — so it was different, but it was good, especially in a short offseason, to have that gap where I can get fully healthy and kind of have that offseason that we didn’t have.

“My wind feels good. I have my rhythm back,” Davis continued. “I’m ready to go, I’m locked in for this game tomorrow, and the future for our ball club in these playoffs.”

Vogel needs his superstars to be healthy and strong for the upcoming games. Will Davis sustain another injury in the next few games?
