Former Laker Send Strong Message to Team After Another Loss

At least one former Laker feels like helping the Los Angeles Lakers at the moment. Well, the Lakers could really use an extra pair of hands. Players lost another game and Isaiah Thomas feels bad for the team. Sort of. The same applies to Quinn Cook. Both guards took to Twitter to react to the current situation in LA.

Los Angeles lost eight games in the last 10 nights. They lost the game to the Portland Trail Blazers. Lakers guard Dennis Schroder is still out due to health and safety protocols. Talen Horton-Tucker is also out.

Alex Caruso had to play 35 minutes and finished the night with 18 points.

Thomas last played with the New Orleans Pelicans and wore purple and gold in the 2017-18 season. The guard took to Twitter to offer some help.

“Man I could help them Lakers boys during this time!” he wrote.

The Lakers waived Cook earlier this season after he helped them win the title inside the bubble.

He responded, “Man I feel you!! You ain’t the only one big bro!”

Thomas chimed in and had one more response for his former teammate.

“Killa!!! You know what it is, you’ve proven that year after year. Stay ready. We back on real soon”

Lakers cope well with the loss

LA struggled against Portland and had an unnecessary foul by newly-signed Ben McLemore.

“We don’t want to take a foul there; we want to play it out, try to get a stop and give ourselves a chance to win it with the ball on the last possession,” head coach Frank Vogel said.

Caruso took all the blame for the incident.

“Being a point guard, one of the more vocal guys, one of the high-[hoops-]IQ guys on the team right now with a couple of our leaders missing, our point guards missing,” he said. “I was pretty disappointed in myself, just messing up that part of the game because we had battled so hard.”

Anthony Davis was amazing and surprised fans with his 36 points and 12 rebounds.

“I feel good. I feel good,” the big man said on Zoom. “Put me on the floor, I’m going to try to do as much as I can to help the team win. I feel like I’m getting my legs back under me. I’m getting a rhythm. So, I think the minutes might get back extended. And also, some of that too, I didn’t … I technically didn’t play last night. So, I had a little bit more juice.”
