Jason McCourty Bids Patriots Farewell, Confirms Next Move On Instagram

Jason McCourty is leaving the New England Patriots and he is ready for the next move. The veteran defensive back left the organization full of gratitude. He is grateful for everything the organization did for him. The Kraft family gave him an excellent opportunity. Head coach Bill Belichick trusted him enough to give him a big role. The veteran took to his Instagram account to thank the Patriots organization and his farewell post attracted the attention of many current and former players.

The McCourty twin thanked coach Belichick for the chance to wear the Patriots uniform. He was living out his childhood dream and played with his brother Devin. Let’s not forget that Jason also helped the Patriots win a Super Bowl.

“Thank you to RKK and Coach Belichick for giving me a chance to wear the Patriots uniform,” McCourty wrote. “For the past three seasons, I’ve gotten a chance to live out a childhood dream, playing alongside my brother (Devin McCourty) while winning a championship and building lifelong friendships. Thank you to everyone within the New England Patriots organization. I will miss the conversations with Ms. Martha at the security box on my way into the facility, my laughs with Ms. Paula in the dining room and countless others?

“Pats Nation, thank you for welcoming me with open arms. It was not only a privilege to compete alongside my teammates but also to serve the New England community through organizations and causes that I hold dear. New England will always be a special place for myself and my family! But the journey is not over. With that said I got my sun screen ready and I’ve already started hydrating! 305 BABY!!!”

Jason McCourty is sure about his next move and he is on to Miami

McCourty is off to different heights this time. He will play with the Miami Dolphins and the new role gives him more than just an excitement.

In 2020, the veteran played all 16 games as a cornerback and safety. McCourty was also one of the Patriots eight captains.

McCourty became an unrestricted free agent in March. He didn’t sign a deal for two months and then agreed to ink a deal with the Dolphins. The veteran is reuniting with former Patriots defensive play-caller and Dolphins head coach Brian Flores. He will meet the Patriots twice in 2021. Exciting, right?
