LeBron James Calls Out Solomon Hill for Injury

The Los Angeles Lakers slipped to seventh seed without LeBron James, but it looks like he has recovered from his injury. The four-time NBA champion missed a lot of time and Lakers players struggled to win games.

LeBron missed the most games of his career due to the ankle injury he suffered in the game against the Atlanta Hawks.

The regular season ended on Sunday and LeBron used the opportunity to talk about his struggles. Oh, yes, he used the opportunity to take a shot at Solomon Hill. The Hawks veteran slid into LeBron while going for the ball.

“It’s been hard to tackle it. I was playing some of the best basketball of my career before the injury,” LeBron said. “It was not a self-inflicted wound or something I could control. It wasn’t like I wasn’t putting in the work and then my body failed me. I literally had a grown man diving at my leg for a loose ball.

“I had to pay the price of that and take my time to get my ankle to where it is today where I’m able to be back on the floor. It cost me seven weeks of the season that I still think back on and hate it. I’m still not comfortable with it.”

LA players stand by LeBron James following injury

King James missed 26 of the final 30 regular-season games. He attended most games and motivated his players.

Montrezl Harrell and Dennis Schroder called out Hill, too. According to Harrell, it wasn’t a “loose ball play.”

“I really don’t feel like it was a loose ball play, and he had to go through his leg to get the ball,” Harrell told reporters after the game, per Silver Screen & Roll. “I don’t know how you feel like that’s a loose ball and go after a loose ball, but like I said, that’s neither here nor there, man.”

Hill took notice of all the comments players made and defended himself. Well, he tried to defend himself but it didn’t work. The Hawks player took to Twitter to claim that he would never “disrespect the game.”

“Would never disrespect the game and take a player out purposely,” Hill said. “He knows that. That’s all that matters to me. Praying for a speedy recovery. #riptothementionstho #moredmsthansaweetie.”

LeBron tweaked his ankle in the game against the New Orleans Pelicans, but he feels good. He hit 25 points in the win over Anthony Davis’ former team.

LeBron is not worried about the seedings and he will do his best to help the team win title No. 17.
