LeBron James Issues Inspiring Message as Lakers Hang Championship Banner

Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James is missing time on the floor but he didn’t miss the chance to attend the hanging of the championship banner. The Lakers have finally raised their 2020 NBA championship banner and LeBron used the opportunity to deliver an inspirational message. The four-time NBA champion took to his Instagram account to encourage everyone to get ready for another title. LA is pretty serious about this and players are one step close to the 2021 title.

“They say better late than never right?!?! What a wonderful night his evening was seeing the 17th Championship Banner revealed in Staples along with our Laker Nation faithful! Now it’s almost time to defend it once again in hopes of seeing #18 raised as well! LETS GET IT!!” LeBron wrote.

The Lakers raised their banner on Wednesday night prior to the Lakers game against the Houston Rockets. LeBron and Anthony Davis didn’t play but LA won the night. The Lakers organization delayed the ceremony until fans were in attendance to share the joy.

LeBron James is motivated by the raising of the championship banner

In the past three months, the Lakers struggled on the floor. LeBron and AD suffered terrible injuries and missed a lot of time. Davis didn’t play from February to April and LeBron missed 20+ games, too. Oh yes, he missed 26 of the last 28 games due to his high ankle sprain.

The absence of Lakers superstars in the playoffs would end any hope of the franchise defending the title. Getting them both back on the court is a top priority at the moment. However, Lakers head coach Frank Vogel wants both LeBron and AD to be 100% ready.

LeBron and his teammates make every effort to avoid the play-in tournament at the end of the season.

LA won Wednesday’s game, but players still face a challenge. They have to avoid the tournament. Losing the match would push the Lakers out of playoff conention.

LeBron’s teams have won four championships. His postseason performance is really great. Finishing the season with a title is the ultimate goal at the moment.
