NFL Analyst Makes Bold Mac Jones Prediction Ahead Of 2021 Season

Mac Jones joined a talented group of players and experts have made several strong predictions regarding his 2021 season with the Patriots.

Head coach Bill Belichick said Newton was the Patriots’ quarterback heading into the 2021 NFL season. Newton was the starting quarterback last season, but lacked strong weapons to lead the team to the playoffs. COVID-19 played a big role, too as the Patriots lost several players, including their starting quarterback.

Coach B didn’t change his mind and offered Newton another deal. Jarrett Stidham is under contract with the Patriots. Add Jones in and you have the perfect quarterback combo. Jones will learn from one of the best quarterbacks in league history. Let’s not forget that Newton won the 2015 NFL MVP award.

Mac Jones to go under center in 2021

Who will start games in 2021? Newton?

NFL analyst Field Yates says that Jones will go under center for the Patriots. A bold claim, right?

ESPN tasked some of the best football minds with providing a bold prediction for rookies. Yates discussed Jones. According to him, the Patriots rookie will have a really productive year.

“Mac Jones will lead all rookie quarterbacks in touchdown passes,” Yates wrote. “The first part of this prediction is forecasting that Jones takes over as the starter by Week 1 for New England after a strong training camp. The second half is projecting a smooth transition into the NFL with a remade Patriots’ pass-catching group. Behind an excellent offensive line and with a great coaching staff to work with, Jones will step up right away. You wanted bold, right?”

This is probably the strongest prediction out there. Trevor Lawrence and Zach Wilson will probably start games with the Jacksonville Jaguars and the New York Jets, respectively. The Chicago Bears may decide to put Justin Fields under center, too. Belichick and Newton went through a lot together in 2020, so he may go with the veteran again this year.

There are several great options for the Patriots head coach and he will do the best for the team. Game on, Patriots! Tom Brady is coming in Week 4 so they better get ready.
