Patriots Having ‘Internal Discussions’ About Huge Trade for Elite WR

The New England Patriots may go after other valuable names in the next few months. The team has been linked to several players, including Julio Jones. According to latest updates, the Patriots may trade for the elite WR.

Mike Giardi from NFL Network reported that the organization has had internal discussions about trading for the superstar.

Giardi didn’t make comments on the rumor suggesting that Jones wants to play with veteran quarterback Cam Newton. However, he did give Patriots fans enough reasons to speculate.

“Can’t speak to what Julio Jones wants, but was told the #Patriots have had internal discussions about the wide receiver. The 32-year old had been incredibly durable until this past season when he dealt with a troublesome hamstring.”

This happened right after former NFL manager Michael Lombardi said he believes head coach Bill Belichick would be interested in the new deal. Jeff Schultz from The Athletic confirmed that the Pats would like to deal the star WR.

Patriots may trade for elite WR

This would be the biggest trade in the season and analysts are super excited about the opportunity.

We are not suggesting that Belichick will go after Jones in the next few weeks. But, we do know that Patriots players are interested in the story.

A Patriots running back took notice of the post from Bleacher Report and posted the eye emojis.

Players don’t usually respond to rumors but this one got our attention. Damien Harris is well aware of the fact that Jones would elevate the Patriots to another level. The team missed the playoffs in 2020 and they won’t do the same this year. Belichick is ready to make the playoffs and he is not giving up without a good fight.

The New England Patriots have made multiple moves in the offseason. They may go after Jones and this trade wouldn’t really shock us. Belichick is a smart guy and he’d do the best for the team. Will Jones like the idea of playing under Belichick? Let’s wait and see what happens in the next few weeks.
