Patriots, Teammates Thank Jason McCourty Following His Departure
Jason McCourty left the New England Patriots and his former teammates reacted to his departure. The McCourty twin is officially out and he is taking his great experience to Miami. As you may know, McCourty agreed to sign a one-year deal with the Miami Dolphins. He brought his time with the Patriots to an end.
McCourty was a Patriot for three years. He joined the team to the Super Bowl trip in 2018. The New England Patriots won the big game and returned home with a trophy. Jason got the chance to play with his twin brother Devin. It was a great opportunity for the McCourty twins and they both appreciate it.
“Lucky to have enjoyed three seasons of double the @McCourtyTwins,” the team wrote. “Thank you for everything, JMac.”
McCourty took to his Instagram account to thank everyone, including players, coaches, and staffers at the facility. Some of his former teammates popped in the comment section, writing messages of support.
Jason McCourty to get the best of his departure
McCourty thanked Robert Kraft and his family for the incredible opportunity. He thanked head coach Bill Belichick for trusting him. Belichick and Kraft gave him a chance to play alongside his twin brother. Jason and Devin have played against one another but the Patriots gave him a chance to play and win games together.
The veteran had a chance to live out his childhood dream. He played alongside his brother, won a championship and built lifelong friendships with Patriots players. McCourty took his time to thank people within the Patriots organization. He will definitely miss the conversation with Ms. Martha at the security box. Well, McCourty will also miss the good laugh with Ms. Paula in the dining room.
Oh, New England will definitely miss him. He is a great guy and Patriots guys appreciate great people.
McCourty is off to different heights now and he will try to get the best out of his experience.
New England lost and signed many players in the offseason. McCourty is one of the guys who went out. Veteran wideout Julian Edelman won’t play in 2021 as he confirmed his retirement.
