The world was shocked to hear about the car crash of Los Angeles Lakers guard Ben McLemore. The accident took place right after the Lakers defeated the play-in game against the Golden State Warriors.
TMZ has the photos of the crash. McLemore was driving in his Ford Raptor truck and tipped over a security gate.
“We’re told when officers arrived on the scene, they found McLemore and his crashed Ford truck … and conducted a field sobriety test. Sources say the 28-year-old, though, passed all their tests and did NOT appear to be drunk. We’re told McLemore explained to officers he had accidentally hit the gas instead of the brakes and crashed into a gate arm.”
The car crash won’t affect the status of the Lakers guard
McLemore feels great now and he will play against the Phoenix Suns on Sunday. This is more than great news for the purple and gold.
“He’s okay and available, yes,” Lakers coach Frank Vogel told reporters. “Uninjured.”
McLemore didn’t play against the Golden State. The Lakers selected him late in the season. He is averaging 17.5 minutes per game with the team and scores 8 points per game while shooting 36% from beyond the arc.
LeBron James and Anthony Davis are back in the game, so McLemore and guys like him won’t get too many minutes. Andre Drummond had some of the lowest usage of his time in the win against Stephen Curry’s team. AD played center for most of the time.
“For me, it’s just about whatever it takes to win that game,” Vogel said about his rotation. “We coach to win. We set that tone with our group at the beginning of the season every year and our guys understand that some nights they’re going to play more than others, and we’re going to put the guys out there that are going to help us win that game.
LA is taking on the Phoenix Suns tonight. It’s an important game for the team and we can’t wait to see the final outcome.
