Anthony Davis Reveals Timeline for Re-Injured Groin

Anthony Davis was plagued with injuries this past season and he has more info on the timeline for the re-aggravated groin injury.

The Los Angeles Lakers missed the chance to win another title and AD couldn’t help the team win more games. The big man risked his health in Game 6 of the series against the Phoenix Suns. He decided to take the court in the elimination game, but it was a bad idea.

AD played just five minutes in the game and he couldn’t really cope with the pain. He had to leave the floor and let his teammates play without him. According to the latest update, there shouldn’t be any long-term implications for Davis’ injury.

“I’m gonna talk to my trainer, Ish (Jon Ishop), and see what their plan is,” Davis said, per Silver Screen and Roll. “He’ll probably call me tomorrow and we’ll figure that out, but no I don’t (the exact timeline). They said before, when it first happened, that a 10-14 day injury is usually what it is with a Grade 1, so after tonight where I re-aggravated it, I don’t know if it will be another 14 (days) or whatever, but I’ll talk to him tomorrow and try to see what the plan is.”

Anthony Davis has the timeline for his groin strain and it affects his trip in Tokyo

This is definitely great news for the veteran. He will have a full offseason to fix his body. The same applies to LeBron James. AD and LeBron missed a big chunk of their season due to injuries. LA has Davis locked up until 2025. In other words, he will have to take care of his body and stay healthy.

Joe Vardon of The Athletic reported that Davis won’t play for Team USA in Tokyo.

“There are two other big names whose NBA team lost in the playoffs, perhaps you’ve heard of them? LeBron James and Anthony Davis are officially on vacation, after the Lakers lost in six games to Phoenix, but neither LeBron nor Davis is expected to play for Team USA due to their terrible seasons of injuries, according to a source close to both players.”
