Lakers Big Man Andre Drummond Drops Cryptic Message

Andre Drummond delivered a cryptic message and fans are asking too many questions right now. The talented veteran played really well in Game 2 of the series against the Phoenix Suns. That’s it. He is nowhere to be seen now.  Drummond has scored in single digits in each of the last three contests.

Lakers players have yet to solidify their chemistry. Drummond has been a good player for the team, but frustration may be starting to seep in. Drummond is usually one of the top guys for the team he is playing with. The Los Angeles Lakers had different plans for him. The veteran shared a cryptic tweet Wednesday and told “kids” to “control what you can control.”

Does this mean that the Lakers won’t add him to the starting lineup in Game 6? We will have to wait for an official announcement from the team. The center got a bit frustrated and we sort of understand that. He doesn’t play his best basketball at the moment. If Anthony Davis misses the game, the Lakers will need Drummond to play better.

Andre Drummond to make a change following the cryptic message

The Lakers got Drummond off the buyout market. The two-time All-Star has been an excellent rebounder and solid scorer. He provides great rebounding game, but he has to score more. At this point of the postseason, Drummond is playing games with his performance.

LA remained high on Drummond’s potential with the franchise. Dave McMenamin from ESPN said that Drummond will stay on the team for a little longer.

“They’ve been so committed to him [Drummond] being the ceremonial starter, and obviously he gets more than just ceremonial minutes,” McMenamin said on The Lowe Post podcast. “But that seems to be something that is important to Drummond which makes it important to the Lakers front office because they have signaled to everyone listening that this isn’t just a half a season buyout market rental. Andre Drummond’s part of the future moving forward with this franchise.”

Will Drummond leave the team in the near future? Frank Vogel will have to make a decision.
