Lakers Guard Reportedly Robbed At Gunpoint Last Week

Los Angeles Lakers guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope was robbed a week ago. TMZ Sports revealed details of the scary incident involving KCP. The Los Angeles Lakers guard went through a nightmare a week ago. Luckily, he is fine right now.

Initial reports confirm that three armed men robbed the Lakers guard. TMZ cited a police source that said the incident happened on June 17 at 4 a.m.

The Lakers guard was in the driveway with his friends. Three men drove up with weapons and the situation escalated.

Here are more details:

“Our sources say a car pulled up and three men then exited the vehicle with guns drawn. We’re told the men demanded KCP and his friends hand over their stuff … which included a fancy Rolex watch, jewelry and an iPhone. In total, our sources say the thieves made off with about $150,000 worth of loot.”

The article confirmed that the men didn’t hurt KCP during the incident. The Los Angeles Police Department has started off an investigation in order to identify the men.

This is more than scary, and KCP was really scared for his life. We’d be scared, too. His family really hopes that the police will find the men who robbed KCP.

It’s interesting to note that the news was out of the headlines for a week. This was a serious situation, but no one said a word for a week.

KCP only lost material things and he will soon get over this. I mean, going through something like this is really awful. We can only imagine the horror he went through that night.

When it comes to KCP, he was great with the Lakers this season. However, he struggled in the first-round series. The young player was averaging 6.2 points on 27.2 percent shooting across five appearances. Young KCP missed Game 4 due to a knee injury.

The 28-year-old was averaging 9.7 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 1.9 assists in 67 games this season. LA didn’t even think of trading him. They’d rather trade veteran guard Dennis Schroder. Will he stay around for another season?
