LeBron James Former Team Open For Reunion

The Los Angeles Lakers entered their offseason a little too early. LeBron James is already planning his future, and yes, he is looking forward to a great reunion. Lakers players couldn’t defend the title. We keep hearing all those rumors about players who may leave the team in the next few months. Will LeBron leave the Lakers in the near future? Pat Riley would gladly have LeBron back in the fold.

King James played for Miami from 2010-2014. He won two titles as a member of the Heat. Riley has nothing but great words for LeBron. He keeps the door open just in case LeBron announces his return.

“I would leave the key under the doormat if he would call me and let me know that he’s coming,” Riley said Friday in an interview on Dan Le Batard’s radio show. “I would do that, but I doubt very much that key. … That key is rusted now.

“LeBron, look, he’s one of the greatest of all time, and for four years down here, if we want to go back and remember what those four years were like, it was four years in the Finals, four years of excitement, two world championships. …It was the best time for the Heat. So I wish him nothing but the best, and if he ever wanted to come back, I’ll put a new shiny key under the mat.”

LeBron will use the offseason to rest and recover. He is a winner and his teams make the NBA Finals. But, the 36-year-old suffered a terrible injury in the regular season and had to miss a lot of time. The tough ankle injury limited LeBron against Phoenix and he missed 26 games in the regular season.

“It’s going to work wonders for me, obviously,” LeBron said, per Silver Screen & Roll. “During the season I don’t even talk about rest, I don’t even like to put my mind and frame into that, it makes me weak. But in the offseason, I get an opportunity to rest. We’ve got like three months to recalibrate, get my ankle back to 100% where it was before that Atlanta game, and that’s the most important thing for me.”

LeBron feels great and the ankle is the only thing that was bothering him. He wasn’t 100% in the postseason and didn’t return to his old self. However, he did his best and tried to help the team win.
