LeBron Makes Prediction on Anthony Davis’ Status vs. Suns in Game 6

LeBron James and his teammates will have to try harder and beat the Phoenix Suns in Game 6. The Los Angeles Lakers lost Game 5, and fans have questions. Anthony Davis sat out the game. That’s not all.

LeBron believes that Davis will sit out Game 6. The four-time NBA champion can win games without AD. This will be the elimination game for the Lakers. It’s a win-or-go-home game.

“My mindset is that he’s not going to be able to play in Game 6, but that’s my mindset,” LeBron said in his postgame press conference. “I have to go in with that to prepare [for] who’s going to be in the lineup. KCP [Kentavious Caldwell-Pope] tried to give it a go tonight, too, and it didn’t work out well for him, as well. He had to leave the game as well. My mindset, for me, is as if A.D. won’t be in the game in Game 6. If something changes, then we go from there, but I’m preparing as if he’s not.”

LeBron said he was referring to his “mindset” heading into the next game rather than making a medical assessment of his teammate’s status.

LeBron and LA to challenge the Suns in Game 6

Chris Hayness said that prior to the game that Davis struggled to move laterally. Head coach Frank Vogel said AD’s status will be more like a “medical deicison.”

“If they feel he’s at risk for injuring it further, then obviously they won’t clear him to be out there,” Vogel said, per Silver Screen and Roll. “But if they feel like he’s just playing through some pain, and he’s not at any further risk than any other player, then he’ll be cleared. It’s going to be a medical decision.”

Vogel said that the franchise hopes “to get a little more healthy” heading into the next game. LA is a good team at the moment and they will try their best to win. Players are getting their treatment and hopefully, they will play with Davis. Vogel and Rob Pelinka built a strong team to withstand some of the injuries.
