Patriots Veteran Sums Up Julian Edelman Departure

Julian Edelman is no longer part of the New England Patriots, and his departure from the team had a huge impact on each and every player.

The Patriots receiving unit will look really different in 2021. Head coach Bill Belichick signed a bunch of new guys in the offseason. He made a big splash in free agency and also brought new players through the draft.

Belichick added more depth to the receiving unit. Edelman won’t be on the roster in 2021 as he decided to retire in the offseason.

Edelman was part of the Patriots for 12 seasons. He finished his career with 620 receptions, 6,822 yards, and 36 touchdowns. The former seventh-round pick and former Kent State quarterback had three 1,000-yard seasons. Edelman helped the Patriots win three Super Bowls.

Julian Edelman left a big void with his departure

Patriots special teams star Matthew Slater played alongside Edelman throughout his entire career. He talked about Edelman’s role with the Patriots and the void he left behind.

“I think he’s one of the all-time great Patriots. He means the world to me,” Slater said. “There’s not going to be another Julian Edelman who comes through here. He was so unique.

“His DNA was 1-of-1.”

The 35-year-old is out of the field now. He may no longer play football, but he will stick around for a while. In April, Edelman said he would join the cast of Inside the NFL.

Edelman’s company Coast Productions is joining forces with ViacomCBS to produce new movies, shows, and documentaries. Edelman will be super busy in the next period, and we can’t wait to see the best of him. We bet he will have great success in his post-retirement life. The former veteran did an amazing job in the NFL, and he will probably be really successful outside the field.

The former veteran will have enough time to go on adventures with his cute little daughter. Lily loves having fun with her dad. She uses every minute of her free time to play with her famous dad.
