Caruso was arrested before even attempting to board a plane. The Lakers guard was released right after the arrest.

The Lone Star State native is definitely a Horatio Alger tale. Caruso went undrafted out of Texas A&M University. He earned a spot on the Lakers’ G League team, the South Bay Lakers, in 2017. Two years ago, Caruso was called up the NBA amidst an injury-plagued season for the purple and gold. Caruso played really well and fans really like him. We can easily say that he is a fan favorite and people really like him.

The NBA to make a decision on Alex Caruso following the charges for possession of weed

Caruso played really well this past season. He improved his 3-point shooting and hit on 40.1 percent of his attempts from downtown. However, the talented player had a poor performance in the six-game defeat to the Phoenix Suns.

In the postseason, Caruso was averaging 5.8 points, 1.3 rebounds, and 0.5 assists per game. In the regular season, Caruso was averaging 6.4 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game with the Lakers.

Possession of marijuana is legal in California and 15 other states. Well, it’s still illegal in Texas and Caruso will face serious consequences now. The NBA will probably fine him. Some players have been in a similar situation and we all know what happened.

Caruso’s situation made people talk and fans cracked some hilarious jokes. LeBron James was involved, too. The four-time NBA champion took notice of this and he even joked about Caruso and his arrest. Many joked that LeBron will bail out Caruso. It was a joke, of course, Caruso can handle he situation without any help from his friends and family. He is a great guy and he knows how to handle things.
