The Los Angeles Lakers entered the offseason a little too early this year. The Phoenix Suns removed the purple and gold in the first round of the playoffs. LeBron James suffered a terrible injury and missed a lot of time. The same goes for his superstar teammate. LA didn’t have much luck this season and players will try to do much better in 2021-22. Anthony Davis suffered multiple injuries throughout the season and he has just made a life announcement.
Well, the season may be over, but LA players didn’t put their lives on hold.
Anthony Davis made the best life announcement
AD revealed on Thursday during halftime of the match between the Los Angeles Sparks and Washington Mystics of the WNBA that he will have a second kid. Amazing, right?
“I’ve been doing nothing,” said Davis when asked about how his offseason has been going. “Rehabbing, getting the groin right and playing video games. I’ve really been doing nothing. Like you said, we starting to open now so there’s not much that you really can’t do. I’m a homebody anyway so I stay in the house anyway, play video games, relax with the family, spend time with my daughter. I have a son on the way, so I’m waiting on that. Just trying to stay active and be ready for next season.”
AD will have his hands full this year. He is getting ready for the birth of his baby boy all while trying to get healthy for the upcoming season.
In his second year as a Laker, AD was averaging 21.8 points, 7.9 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 1.3 steals, and 1.6 blocks per game. He played just 36 regular-season games with the Lakers. Hopefully, he will do much better in 2021-22. LA needs him on the floor and AD will have to do his best to get the best of his talent. His son will motivate him to play better and win more games with his team. The purple and gold signed him for a reason and we can’t wait for the best to happen.
