Agent For N’Keal Harry Reveals Patriots Receiver’s Future Plans

N’Keal Harry may not be part of the New England Patriots in the future. There have been several rumors about the third-year receiver. Analysts believe that Harrys time with the Patriots might be over.

NFL insider Mike Garafolo on Tuesday shared the statement from Harry’s agent, Jamal Tooson. He revealed that the wideout had requested a trade from New England. What does that mean?

The Patriots selected Harry with the 32nd overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.

Here’s what his agent said:

For the past several months, I have been working in cooperation with the Patriots behind the scenes to put a plan in place to allow N’Keal to thrive in New England. Through two seasons, he has 86 targets, which obviously hasn’t met the expectations the Patriots and N’Keal had when they drafted a dominant downfield threat who was virtually unstoppable at the point of attack in college. Following numerous conversations with the Patriots, I believe it’s time for a fresh start and best for both parties if N’Keal moves on before the start training camp. That is why I have informed the Patriots I am formally requesting a trade on behalf of my client.

“N’Keal understands a key ingredient to production is opportunity. He will continue to work hard to develop and refine his craft after missing a large portion of his rookie year to injury. His draft-day expectations for his NFL career have not changed. We are confident success is just around the corner for him and will aggressively pursue it.”

N’Keal Harry won’t play with the Patriots in the future

Harry had a chance to play with one of the best teams in the past two seasons. However, he didn’t live up to the expectations everyone had. Patriots coaches really liked Harry but he failed to perform.

The talented wide receiver struggled to stay healthy too. The Patriots brought him in for a reason but he spent too much time on injured reserve. Head coach Bill Belichick needed strong receivers to fill up the big void, but Harry wasn’t a good option.
