Bill Belichick Answers Questions About Stephon Gilmore, N’Keal Harry Situations

The New England Patriots have to make a few big decisions in the offseason. Head coach Bill Belichick is working really hard to get the players he needs to win games, but he hasn’t made a decision on Stephon Gilmore, N’Keal Harry and their situations.

We all know that Gilmore wants a better contract with the Patriots. He earns less than top cornerbacks in the NFL. The Patriots gave him a raise and the team will give him $7 million next season. Well, Gilmore wants more than that.

The former Defensive Player of the Year is not the only one who is waiting for Belichick to make a decision. Wide receiver N’Keal Harry requested a trade through his agent. He wants out after two seasons with the Patriots.

What’s next on the list? Belichick didn’t say much about this. He talked to the media days ahead of training camp. You know him… Belichick is a man of a few words. He also likes to repeat the same response over and over again.

Bill Belichick didn’t say much about Gilmore and Harry’s situations

One thing stands for sure. Belichick won’t discuss contracts publicly. The same goes for both Gilmore and Harry. The Patriots head coach is not someone who would talk about personal situations publicly.

We have seen Belichick act like this before. He would never comment talk much about tricky situations inside the league. Belichick is all-in when it comes to doing business and he has his own way of doing things. He would never be distracted by outside noise and pressure.

Gilmore reported to Gillette Stadium but the team placed him on the physically unable to perform list. The veteran corner suffered a quad injury last season. He spent four seasons with the Patriots and made three straight Pro Bowls (2018, 2019, and 2020). The talented veteran also made First-Team All-Pro in 2018 and 2019. Let’s not forget his big award in 2019.

Harry will probably join his teammates in training camp despite his trade request. He was the last selection in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft.
