Breaking: Lakers Are Reportedly Considering 2 Notable Trades

The Los Angeles Lakers will make a few moves in the offseason. They were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs. The Phoenix Suns had better performance and LA players had to enter the offseason a little too early. Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka will probably make a couple of notable trades in the next few weeks.

The Lakers are coming off a terrible season. They left the battle in the very first round of the series.

NBA insider Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report confirmed that the franchise continues to “gauge rival teams’ interest” in Kyle Kuzma. The Lakers have several plans for Dennis Schroder too. According to several sources, the German native has a “higher trade value.”

The Lakers will add Kuzma to their notable trades

Kuzma was doing a good job in the first couple of seasons. He hoped to become the third player behind LeBron James and Anthony Davis. Well, it didn’t happen and he struggled on the floor. He did sharpen his skills a bit but his stats weren’t that great.

A lot of analysts considered Kuzma a rising star in the NBA. The fifth-year pro has slowly declined since he was drafted by the Lakers with the No. 27 overall pick in 2017. In his first two seasons, Kuzma was averaging 17.4 points per game. His numbers dropped to 12.8 points per game in the last couple of seasons. The young player struggled to fit in the system. He couldn’t produce on a LeBron and Davis-led team. Maybe the Lakers should let him go and add another effective wing scorer.

The Lakers wanted to keep Schroder for a few more seasons. They offered him a four-year deal worth $84 million. The veteran turned down the offer because he wanted a $100-120 million deal as confirmed by NBC Sports.

Schroder became an unrestricted free agent. LA can only hope for a sign-and-trade contract. Schroder is a talented player and he has the best trade value in the offseason. Let’s see what happens next in LA. Will Schroder and Kuzma leave the team this offseason?
