Cam Newton Shares Honest Admission On Patriots So Far

Veteran quarterback Cam Newton didn’t have much success in his first season with the New England Patriots and he made a honest admission about this experience.

The Carolina Panthers got rid of him in the worst way ever. Newton wanted to revenge but his plan didn’t work. The 2015 NFL MVP is entering his second year with the Patriots and he has great plans this time. Will it work?

Newton appeared on “Keyshawn, JWill & Zubin” Thursday morning. He talked about the Patriots and his relationship with every member of the organization. Patriots fans are optimists now. Newton will probably start games in 2021 and he gave everyone a ray of hope.

“For me, the Patriots’ organization has been impeccable … so my time there has been everything I could have asked for,” Newton said. “I guess it’s now time for me to uphold my end of the bargain, through and through.”

Cam Newton to lead the Patriots

In 2020, the veteran quarterback had just 2,657 passing yards and eight touchdown passes. His production saw a significant drop ever since he suffered a terrible injury in 2018. Newton hurt his shoulder and he needed time to recover.

If the veteran doesn’t perform well in 2021, the Patriots will have to be really creative to find the right solution. Rookie quarterback Mac Jones has a real chance to challenge the veteran. Bill Belichick selected him for a really good reason and we can already see him as a replacement for Newton. Jones has great qualities and the Patriots should get the best of it.

The veteran signal-caller was asked about the rookie in his recent interview. Of course, Newton has no issues with his new teammate.

“I’ve been playing this game long enough to know that’s the right pick. And I’ve said it numerous times, you’re not going to get a disgruntled person out of me.”

This is the perfect approach. It looks like Newton knows how to say the right thing at the right time. Reporters love him and his teammates love him, too. Let’s see what happens in 2021.
