Damian Lillard Shares Strong Response to Recent Lakers Trade Rumors

The Los Angeles Lakers will have to add a third superstar behind LeBron James and Anthony Davis. Damian Lillard may be a good option for the team, and the superstar heard all the rumors regarding the Lakers trade.

Dame has his very first chance to play with the Team USA Men’s Olympic basketball team. He works on winning a gold medal. What about his trip to LA?

The Portland Trail Blazers left the playoffs a little too early. They aren’t contenders.

Lillard wants to win but he may not win with the Blazers. Will he force his way out? The Lakers are one of the potential destinations for the veteran.

Damian Lillard brings Lakers trade rumors to an end

Chris Haynes from Yahoo Sports said that Dame has “concerns on whether a championship contender can be built” in Portland.

Lillard didn’t say much in public, but he addressed the comments after a Team USA practice in Las Vegas.

“Anything that I have to say, I’m going to say directly to [Blazers general manager] Neil [Olshey] and I’m going to address it directly with my team,” Lillard said, via ESPN. “There’s really nothing else I have to say about it.”

Lillard has nothing to do with the rumors.

“There’s a lot of things they said and I haven’t said anything,” Lillard said. “If there is something to be said or if I think something or have something to say that I’m going to say it and I’m going to stand on it.”

Lillard likes his team. He respects the franchise. If he requests a trade, he will do it without causing too much harm.

Dame lives his Olympics dream and he won’t do anything about the trade. He will think well before making a final decision.

The Blazers may trade for Ben Simmons or another veteran. If they fail to do so, the superstar will go somewhere else. Maybe he will make a trip to Los Angeles. That would be great, right? Let’s see what happens this summer.
