Dennis Schroder Delivers Message to Lakers Teammate Amid Feud Rumors

Dennis Schroder heard all the feud rumors related to him and Kyle Kuzma. Well, he shut down the notion that he and Kuz got into a thing in the postseason.

The German native wished Kuzma a happy birthday. Kuz reposted the message and yes, there’s nothing wrong with these two. They are still friends. Who is the clown now?

“Happy Birthday Kuz,” Schroder wrote. “My dawg. Live it up and stay healthy and blessed.”

ESPN’s Jordan Schultz was the first to report the tension. He wrote that the relationship between Kuzma and Schroder hit the boiling point in the playoffs. These two didn’t say a word about the report, but Kuzma’s agent, Vin Sparacio, took to his Instagram stories to call Schultz a clown.

“League sources say Dennis Schroder and Kyle Kuzma feuded throughout the season, with things going further south throughout the Lakers’ first-round series loss to Phoenix,” Schultz reported. “Interesting note to consider heading into the draft and free agency.”

Dennis Schroder is not bothered with feud rumors

Kuzma is coming off a bad season for the Lakers. He was part of many rumors this past season in things heated up in the last few weeks. Kuzma got used to this. He has already been there.

“I really don’t care, honestly,” he said last year. “You can’t control it. If I get traded, I get traded. It don’t matter. I’m still going to play basketball. I’m still going to play the game I love. Still going to be paid.”

In the 2020-21 NBA season, Kuzma was averaging 12.9 points and 6.1 rebounds in 29 minutes per game. He started 32 games during the absence of LeBron and AD. Young Kuzma believes he can be an All-Star but he would love to play a bigger role.

“My biggest thing is I just want to play within a consistent role,” Kuzma told Bleacher Report’s Tyler Conway. “If I have that ability, I’ll be able to showcase what I can really do. There were parts of this year—and even anywhere else in my career—when I’m in a consistent space, I’m out there handling the ball, making teammates better, scoring, shooting, defending, rebounding. I think if I’m in that space, I’ll be good.”

Schroder entered free agency, hoping to get a nice deal. Reports suggest that he wants a $100-120 million. LA won’t give him that much.

The German native was averaging 15.4 points, 5.8 assists, and 1.1 steals per game in his debut with the Lakers.
