Lakers Forward Recruits Team’s Former Big Man

Jared Dudley wants the Lakers big man back. Simple as that. The Los Angeles Lakers veteran is doing his best to bring Dwight Howard back in LA. Is this even possible?

Howard left the Lakers in free agency last offseason. He signed with the Philadelphia 76ers and became a key player off the bench. Howard backed up Joel Embiid and fans really loved him.

The Lakers big man to return

Howard is entering his 18th NBA season and he will try to make a change this time. He shared a video to show off his latest masterpiece. Well, fans would love his 3-point shot.

“I want a parade,” he wrote. “Let’s work.”

At least three million Instagram followers saw the video. Howard’s former Lakers teammate Dudley saw it too. He petitioned the big man to re-sign with the Lakers.

“Time to come home,” Dudley responded.

Howard got his ring with the Lakers in 2020. LA didn’t make a parade due to the coronavirus pandemic. If Howard was to sign with the Lakers for the third stint in his career, he’d be a key player on the cheap for the roster. LA was a mess at the center position in 2021.

There are so many rumors at the moment and each of them suggests that LA will make a splash in the offseason. General Manager Rob Pelinka will do his best to add a third star alongside his superstars. LeBron James and Anthony Davis are doing a good job, and Howard can make things easier for the team.

Howard averaged 7.0 points and 8.4 rebounds with the 76ers this past season. He played 20 minutes per game and offered 7.5 and 7.5 with the Lakers.

LA could use some of these numbers in the upcoming season.

The Lakers tried to upgrade their center last offseason. They traded Howard and JaVale McGee for veteran Marc Gasol and Montrezl Harrell. Andre Drummond changed everything and Lakers fans really missed Howard and McGee. Will these two join LeBron and AD? There are so many options right now.
