Lakers Hopes For Chris Paul, Russell Westbrook Slapped With Harsh Reality by Woj

The Los Angeles Lakers can easily get someone like Chris Paul and Russell Westbrook. Or not?

The Lakers front office will have to make a few big decisions this time. Some of the players will have to go but this doesn’t mean that LA can get a big fish like CP3. There are so many options for the team right now and Rob Pelinka will make the best decision for the team.

He always does. Pelinka needs to add a third superstar behind LeBron James and Anthony Davis. Basketball fans kept talking about the team’s chances to get the Phoenix Suns veteran. Truth is, LA is really on the market for a veteran point guard. Pretty much everyone has a chance to become a Laker. Kyle Lowry, CP3, Damian Lillard, Wes, …. The list of potential additions is never-ending.

LeBron and Davis need an extra pair of hands.

The Lakers may not get Chris Paul or Russell Westbrook

Adrian Wojnarowski from ESPN shut down every notion that LA can get a big name.

“They cannot replace [Dennis Schröder] if he leaves…Almost every team I’ve talked to in the league has been offered some combination of Kuz and KCP … and that’s not going to get them back a point guard of Dennis’s stature. I still think in the end, there’s a deal to be made for him to stay with the Lakers.”

Dennis Schroder and Kyle Kuzma have been added to every trade rumor this offseason. The German native turned down the offer from the Lakers front office just because he wants to get $100 million or more. The team has already considered trading him. What about Kuzma?

Kuzma is the most valuable asset on the Lakers roster. Maybe the Lakers don’t have another option at the moment. Maybe the young Laker deserves a chance to start off somewhere else. He gave the team some strong numbers but his consistency is definitely an issue. Kuzma would love to get a more consistent role with the team. Is this even possible? He played more in LeBron’s absence.
