Lakers Target Delivers Revealing Statement Ahead of Free Agency

The Los Angeles Lakers have their eyes set on a particular target, and the player made a revealing statement on his free agency.

Spencer Dinwiddie is definitely someone we’d love to pay attention to. The Brooklyn Nets guard is bringing his contract close to the end. He is free to do whatever he wants with his career. The veteran is from Los Angeles, California, and he may soon go home. Is this even possible?

Los Angeles may need another point guard given Dennis Schroder’s situation. In the last season, Dinwiddie had a strong game and was able to stay healthy. He was averaging 20.6 points per game with the Brooklyn Nets. The veteran played all but three games in the regular season before tearing his ACL.

He needed more time to recover but he looks really great at the moment. Dinwiddie shared a photo of him playing ball again on Instagram. Yes, he even proclaimed that he is the best point guard in free agency. Will the Los Angeles Lakers go after him?

This post has attracted a lot of attention. NBA analysts don’t really believe that Dinwiddie would return to the Nets. He teased his upcoming free agency and we all know what that means. Chris Paul, Kyle Lowry, and Schrder are some of the point guard who may test free agency. Who is the best option for LA?

Lakers track their target in free agency

Dinwiddie sees himself as a point guard. He is not a shooting guard. Brooklyn had him play the latter position in the regular season. Let’s not forget that he has been a point guard every other season.

If LA wants Dinwiddie, they will have an advantage over other organizations. Kristian Winfield of the New York Daily News says that the veteran will probably come home to LA.

“Home is the preferred destination,” a source told Winfield. “But he wants to secure his financial future, too.”

Dinwiddie wants to play home because it doesn’t sound like he’d provide a discount. He suffered a brutal injury and he may not get a big deal. LA can afford to get him.
