Lakers to ‘Sniff Around’ Possibly Available Superstar

The Los Angeles Lakers have LeBron James and Anthony Davis on the roster. General manager Rob Pelinka would gladly add another player behind his superstars. According to recent reports, the Lakers may add a third superstar to help the team make the playoffs in the upcoming season.

LA left the postseason a little too early. The Phoenix Suns eliminated LA from the playoffs. This was more than enough for NBA analysts to start talking about potential trades. Pelinka’s team has been linked to several players including Portland Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard. Great Dame is dealing with serious backlash right now. Fans don’t like his attitude towards the newly-hired head coach.

Of course, LA will have to go through a lot of obstacles to add a third superstar. They don’t have enough cap space and Pelinka can only offer a few picks and some of his younger assets. Colin Cowherd said that LA should trade Anthony Davis for Lillard.

Bradley Beal is also an option for the team. Kemba Walker is also someone you should focus on. The four-time All-Star ended up playing with the Oklahoma City Thunder after the Boston Celtics traded him. The new franchise is embracing a yough movement and fans are asking questions about Walker’s future with the team.

Zach Lowe from the ESPN said that the Lakers will probably try to get Walker. This goes to pretty much every team in the NBA.

“I think both the L.A. teams are going to be sniffing around Kemba Walker,” Lowe said on The Lowe Post podcast. “I think that’s the market. Now, I don’t know if you can get up to the money, I don’t know if they have whatever Oklahoma City wants, but that’s the level that I think they can target.”

When healthy, Walker is one of the best scorers in the league. LA needs a third player and Walker makes a really good option.

LA missed the chance to win a title in 2020-21 and they will do their best to win another championship in the upcoming season.
