Report: Kyle Lowry Major Demand That Could Hinder Lakers Signing

NBA analysts have different thoughts on Kyle Lowry and his Lakers signing. The Los Angeles Lakers are going after a third superstar and Lowry seemed like a good option for the team at this point. The Toronto Raptors veteran may soon join the purple and gold. That’s what basketball fans say. LA has shown huge interest in the six-time All-Star. What about the veteran?

According to recent reports, Lowry may not be too happy about playing in LA right now. He doesn’t show much interest in joining LeBron James and Anthony Davis. Wonder why?

Matt Moore of Action Network reported that Lowry’s addition would put the team in a big trouble. It looks like Lowry is trying to get big cash for his game. He came here for the money.

“There was some assumption from league sources that Lowry would be chasing a second ring in free agency. But while playoff or prospective playoff teams make up the list of suitors, the new operating assumption is that money will be the deciding factor for Lowry. There will be no ring chasing under a minimum deal, in other words.”

Kyle Lowry may turn down the Lakers signing

Rob Pelinka’s team is not the only one to target Lowry. He is entering free agency this summer and several teams have been thrilled about the opportunity to get him. Sources reveal that the Philadelphia 76ers are one of the most active suitors for the veteran. The New York Knicks and Dallas Mavericks are serious contenders at the moment.

“The Knicks are considering a one-year deal that would trump, the thinking goes, a multi-team offer in single-year salary. The Mavericks are thought to be pursuing a two-year deal for Lowry.”

The Knicks and Mavericks may give Lowry a bigger deal than LA could ever offer. Pelinka wouldn’t spent too much money on a superstar. LA is serious about getting Lowry but they have yet to confirm the information. Lowry is looking for a home and a big contract. Can LA afford this?
