Report: Lakers Bring in Slew of Talented Prospects Ahead of 2021 NBA Draft

The Los Angeles Lakers need to make some cool moves in the offseason and Rob Pelinka has a few plans regarding the 2021 NBA Draft. The Phoenix Suns eliminated his team in the first round of the playoffs despite LeBron James’ presence. Yes, LeBron and Anthony Davis missed too much time and suffered terrible injuries. But this doesn’t change the fact that some players didn’t do well in the regular season.

Pelinka brought some valuable players in the offseason. However, these guys didn’t help the team defend the title. In other words, Pelinka has to make a few big moves.

The NBA draft is about a week away and LA has invited a lot of players to draft workouts. According to recent reports, the Lakers will work out six prospects on Saturday. Some of these talented prospects may end up on the Lakers roster in 2021.

LA Lakers are ready for 2021

The Lakers have the No. 22 selection in the draft. They have an incredible power and their experts are able to find the best players in the late draft picks.

In 2017, the Lakers got Kyle Kuzma through a trade. Two years later, LA used the No. 46 pick on Talen Horton-Tucker. These picks turned out to be a good choice for the team. Both Kuzma and THT brought value above their draft positions.

There is another possibility for the front office. They can trade the draft pick for someone who can contribute to the roster at the moment. LeBron and AD are the perfect leaders, but they need an extra couple of hands to solidify their top spot.

Pelinka and the front office will have to make the best decision and bring the right players to LA. Who is the first on the list? These prospects seem like a good choice now. Will the front office include LeBron in the draft process? He knows pretty much everything about the game after all. The four-time NBA champion has been part of the league for almost two decades. His experience should do the talking.

Maybe the Lakers will increase their chances to win a title in 2021-22?
