Tom Brady Addresses on His Return To New England This Fall

Tom Brady is coming to New England only to meet his former team. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will challenge the New England Patriots in Week 4. This will be Brady’s first time to hit Gillette Stadium while wearing a different uniform. October 3 is a big day for both teams and everyone is super excited.

Brady left the Patriots last spring and signed a two-year deal with the Buccaneers. The team secured his future and it looks like Brady will retire as a Buccaneers quarterback.

TB12 shared his thoughts on his return and we are not really surprised.

Tom Brady is ready to come back to New England

In his interview with Sirius XM NFL Radio on Wednesday, Brady talked about his return. He also put an expiration date on his long career.

“Going back to Foxborough, it’s superb. The last time probably in my career,” he said. “There’s a lot to happen between now and then and obviously I know the challenge of beating a great team like that, great organization, great players, so many friends that are still on the team that were — and still are — my brothers. Unfortunately we’re just going to be on different sides of the stadium this time around.

“I’ve got a lot of familiarity playing in the stadium. We’ve got to first get to training camp and see what we’re going to be and then get through the first three weeks of the year, but I’m sure it’ll be a great opportunity for me to go back to a place that I know as well as anywhere. It’ll be a great day for football.”

In his 20 years with the Patriots, Brady had 14 Pro Bowls and six Super Bowls. He became synonymous with the team.

Everything changed in 2020. In his first season as a Bucs quarterback, Brady won a Super Bowl. It was an impressive win. His seventh ring!

The Patriots had a 7-9 record in the first season without Brady. Head coach Bill Belichick is rebuilding the roster, hoping to win more games next season.
