Cam Newton Gives 10-Word Response After Latest Preseason Outing

Head coach Bill Belichick entered the preseason with two quarterbacks. He pushed both Cam Newton and Mac Jones to the field in the preseason and we all know what that means. The Patriots head coach has yet to make a decision on his next starting back. Will the 2015 NFL MVP get the job? The first rounder challenged him in training camp, and yes, Jones did a decent job on the field.

The Patriots had great performance in both games so far. They defeated the Washington Football Team in Game 1 and the Philadelphia Eagles had no chance against Belichick’s team. It was a good 35-0 blowout win for the Patriots. Eagles players will always remember this loss.

Cam Newton has great preseason performance

Everyone is so focused on the ongoing quarterback battle in New England. Newton and Jones make things even more complicated as they have strong performances on the field.

Mike Giardi of NFL.com has more details on Newton’s postgame press conference.

“Just tried to do my job… That’s all I did,” Newton said.

The veteran quarterback started the game and went 8-9 for 103 yards and a touchdown. He can run the offense and Josh McDaniels trusts him.

Jones went 13-19 for 146 yards with no TDs. The Alabama prospect was great and he sure gave Belichick a big headache. Both quarterbacks made things harder for the head coach. This great performance makes everything harder at this point. Who is the best quarterback for the Patriots?

The Patriots have one more game of the preseason. This will be the grand finale and our bets are on Belichick’s team.

Jones delivered a deep ball to wide receiver N’Keal Harry. Sadly, Harry didn’t finish the job and even sustained an injury on the play. It was a good throw though and Jones wowed coaches and teammates.

He doesn’t have much NFL experience but his game is fire. That kid will do wonders on the football field in the future. A young quarterback with bright future in the NBA.
