Cam Newton Cruel Two-Word Nickname From an Eagles Player

Cam Newton will enter the new season with a new nickname. The veteran quarterback will have to meet everyone’s expectations. Head coach Bill Belichick offered him a big deal and Newton has to prove himself. There may be several doubts about the Patriots quarterback. It’s a big challenge for the signal-caller.

New England had a joint practice with the Philadelphia Eagles and one of the opposing players came up with a nickname for him.

This has something to do with the decision Belichick is about to make. He has yet to name his starting quarterback. The regular season will start in less than a month. Is Newton’s status in danger?

“No. You know he hasn’t said that. So for you to just ask that question, you know, it is what it is,” Newton said of the starting quarterback job via ESPN. “Every single day, I’m coming out here with the anticipation to just get better, and that’s the only thing that I can do. So I can control that.”

Cam Newton motivated by new nickname

Eagles defensive back K’Von Wallace used terms like “Checkdown King!” and “running back!” to insult the Patriots quarterback. Was this some kind of a joke?

Mac Jones is the only player to challenge Newton. He did a good job in the preseason and Patriots coaches like his style. Belichick didn’t really have words of praise for the rookie but he follows his game.

Belichick selected a quarterback in the first round for the very first time during his tenure with the Patriots. I guess Jones was really good.

There’s so much going on in New England and Newton carries a huge burden on his back. Let’s see how will Belichick handle this dilemma. The Patriots missed the playoffs last season and they have to do the right thing this time. NFL experts say Belichick’s team will make the big time again, but first, they will have to beat Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 4.
