Dwight Howard Epic Post After Agreeing to Re-sign with Lakers

Dwight Howard is back with the Los Angeles Lakers and he has one major goal. The big man took to his Instagram account to express himself and yes, we can say he is pretty excited about his season with the purple and gold.

The 35-year-old is ready to “run it back” with the Lakers. The front office decided to trust him enough and give him another chance to win games with the team. Howard is getting a big opportunity and he will try to get the best of it. That’s why the Lakers got him in first place.

That’s not all. Howard joined the Lakers to get his parade. Let’s not forget that the Lakers didn’t get a parade after winning the championship inside the bubble in Orlando.

Dwight Howard joins the Lakers to win a ring

Howard had a big role in the title run following the 2019-20 regular season. The head coach gave him more minutes and he was averaging 7.5 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 1.1 block per game with the team.

It was a good season for the big man but he left the Lakers in the offseason. Howard signed a deal with the Philadelphia 76ers and spent the 2020-21 NBA season with the franchise. During his team with the Sixers, Howard was averaging 7.9 points and 8.4 rebounds per game.

In other words, the big man has so much to offer. He has a lot of great things left in the tank and LA needs more of that.

The veteran returns to Los Angeles in hopes of getting another ring. Howard has been part of the NBA for a really long time and he won just one ring. Now is the perfect time to go after another one.

The Lakers are parting ways with Alex Caruso, but they are getting Howard and Trevor Ariza. It seems like Rob Pelinka will build his roster around veterans. Russell Westbrook is already here. He is the perfect superstar behind LeBron and Anthony Davis. The Lakers are serious about their title run and they need all the talent they can get to make it happen.
