Dwight Howard Reportedly Finalizes His Free Agency Move

The Los Angeles Lakers lost Dwight Howard last offseason and the big man is set to hit free agency again. Less than a year ago, Howard’s performance helped the Lakers win a championship inside the Orlando bubble. As you may be guessing, Howard will probably try to provide a similar impact in 2021-22 as he will once again wear a Lakers jersey. What’s the first thing he will do in the offseason?

Lakers fans really like the latest development of events. Howard is making his way back to Los Angeles. NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski reported that Howard has agreed to a deal to re-sign with the Lakers. This would be his third stint with the purple and gold. Will he change his approach this time? How will head coach Frank Vogel use his size and performance? There are so many questions we’d like to ask right now.

Dwight Howard joins LA Lakers in free agency

The big man was great for the Lakers in the playoff run a couple of seasons ago. Howard was a big issue on the glass in the Orlando bubble and often worked as the Lakers intimidator. Maybe the Lakers will use this once again. They will face strong competition in the Western Conference next season.

LA is building a veteran team in the offseason. They brought strong veterans once again. Will this formula work out at the end? I guess the only thing we can do is sit and wait.

Howard isn’t the only former Laker to return to LA. The team also brought veterans Wayne Ellington and Trevor Ariza. Fans really love the latest addition. These won’t be the only new faces joining the Lakers in the offseason.

The front office brought Russell Westbrook through a trade deal with the Washington Wizards. Kyle Kuzma is no longer a Laker, and the same goes for Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Montrezl Harrell.

Analysts thought the Lakers would try to get shooters in free agency and trade market in the offseason. Well, LA is all about size and strength. The bully ball helped LA win a championship in Orlando. The same will happen again this season.
