Report: Isaiah Thomas And 3 Other Guards Lakers Are Eyeing To Pair With LeBron James

The Los Angeles Lakers may be interested in bringing even more veteran power to the team. Isaiah Thomas has been linked to the Lakers for quite some time. He has yet to ink a deal with an NBA team. Adding him would be of great help for the Lakers. They signed a lot of veterans in the offseason and some of them haven’t won a championship. But they do have enough playoff experience.

General manager Rob Pelinka will make a few more changes and he will consider adding another veteran. The Lakers are the oldest team in the NBA but Frank Vogel and the rest of the team are fine with this. LeBron James likes his new teammates and he can’t wait to play games together.

Isaiah Thomas to join the Lakers

Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports reported that Thomas joined the Lakers for a workout. Darren Collison and Mike James worked out too. Thomas had his workout with Russell Westbrook and LeBron.

According to Haynes, the Lakers won’t sign players immediately. They will also take enough time as they want to sign a guard and wing ahead of the regular season.

“The Lakers could also elect to bring players into training camp to fight for the last few roster spots. The Lakers, who have 12 players under guaranteed contracts, will go into the 2021-22 season carrying 14 players in order to maintain flexibility, sources said. Each team can carry a maximum of 15 players and two two-way players.”

LeBron supports Thomas and he would really love to have him back on the floor. The veteran can offer a lot and the Lakers should give him a chance.

The four-time NBA champion delivered an encouraging message for Thomas.

We can only wait and see if the Lakers will sign Thomas to a deal. He deserves a chance to prove himself in the league again.

Thomas was working out with the Lakers and maybe other teams. He is definitely making headlines these days and experts loved his performance in Pro Am leagues.
