Lakers Rumored Free Agency Plan That Won’t Please LeBron James

The Los Angeles Lakers have a few open spots on the roster and they will try to bring in some fresh power in free agency. General manager Rob Pelinka will make a few more moves, and LeBron James won’t be really happy with some of these plans.

There are several rumors about the Lakers at this point.

The Lakers invited Isaiah Thomas for a workout. They also had two veterans over. The former All-Star would be a good fit for the Lakers. The same goes to Darren Collison and Mike James. They joined Thomas for a workout. It seems like the Lakers will try to add a third point guard behind newly-signed Russell Westbrook and Kendrick Nunn. Sounds like a good plan, right? Will LeBron like it? He is all-in when it comes to winning.

Lakers to make another move in free agency

Chris Haynes from Yahoo! Sports reported that all of the Lakers’ current moves point to the possibility that Jared Dudley will no longer be a Laker.

“And with the intention of signing two more players and leaving a roster spot open, it means Jared Dudley’s two-year tenure with the organization will likely come to an end.”

LeBron and Dudley are great friends and we have at least one good reason to believe that the king won’t be happy with this. However, the Lakers lost most of the players on the roster in the past two weeks. Maybe Dudley is just a “victim” of the Lakers’ summer overhaul.

We’d also add that LeBron is pretty excited about Thomas’ addition. He is definitely rooting for his return to the NBA. The veteran hasn’t played since last season and he only had a 10-day stint in the 2020-21 NBA season. How will LeBron handle the potential departure of Dudley? He has his eyes set on the next season and he is ready to win another ring.

The Lakers brought several veterans to town this summer. Carmelo Anthony will get his final chance to win a championship. Trevor Ariza joined the team, too. LA looks good at the moment and fans are ready for the big show.
