LeBron James Deleted Tweet On Lakers Offseason Move Goes Viral

The Los Angeles Lakers did an impressive job in the offseason and brought a lot of veterans to the roster. Skip Bayless, Colin Cowherd, and a few other analysts blasted the front office for these moves. According to them, LA can’t really compete for a title if they add players over 30. Really? The king of basketball will turn 37 in December, and he plays elite basketball. LeBron James took a shot at his haters with a frosty tweet and it’s now viral. Oh wait, it’s deleted.

The four-time NBA champion is more than impressed with the offseason additions. He will get to play with Russell Westbrook, Carmelo Anthony, and a few other excellent players.

LeBron James fires a tweet, and it’s viral!

LA has been the most active team in NBA free agency.

General manager Rob Pelinka and the front office signed 12-time All Star Carmelo Anthony, former No. 11 pick Malik Monk, former All-Rookie First-Team guard Kendrick Nunn and four former Laker veterans in Trevor Ariza, Wayne Ellington, Dwight Howard and Kent Bazemore.

The Lakers also re-signed 20-old guard Talen Horton-Tucker and signed Westbrook through a trade with the Washington Wizards.

The new-look Lakers roster has an excellent chance to win a title. However, critics aren’t impressed. Moreover, they have trashed the team for getting all the veterans.

LeBron took to Twitter to address these concerns. I guess he uses these comments as a motivation to play better basketball. He even encouraged everyone to keep talking like this when the regular season hits.

“Keep talking about my squad, our personnel ages, the way he plays, he stays injured, we’re past out time in this league, etc etc etc. Do me one favor PLEASE!!!! And I mean PLEASE!!! Keep that same ENERGY when it begins! That’s all I ask. #ThankYou,” he wrote.

The Lakers superstar deleted the tweet. LeBron is 36 and he is entering his 19th NBA season. LA has a long list of players over 30 – Anthony (37), Ariza (36), Marc Gasol (36), Howard (35), Ellington (33), Bazemore (32) and Westbrook (32).

It’s an average of 31, and the Lakers have the oldest roster in the NBA.
