Patriots Post Highlight Video From Monday’s Training Camp Practice

The New England Patriots had the fifth day of training camp and this practice was great. It was a light workout for the team heading into a full-padded session. They will do this for the first time this offseason.

Patriots signal-callers stole spotlight again. Rookie Mac Jones had a great day. The first-rounder played like a first-rounder and delivered a big overall performance. I guess Bill Belichick likes what he sees from the rookie.

CB Stephon Gilmore (PUP), DT Bryon Cowart (PUP), QB Jarrett Stidham (PUP), LB Chase Winovich (PUP), TE Dalton Keene (PUP), TE Devin Asiasi (Covid-19), LB Cameron McGrone (NFI), S Joshuah Bledsoe (NFI), and OL Ted Karras (injured) missed the practice.

DT Henry Anderson had to leave the practice following awful collision. The Patriots medical staff checked him on the sideline and he feels better.

Patriots rookie has great camp practice

Monday was a good day for Jones and he impressed coaches and teammates. Newton took things lightly but his veteran impact was more than visible.

New England got away from a lot of red zone efforts and expanded the field even more. Each player tried to pull out a distinctive move and we have great predictions for the storied organization.

Jones got 16 straight reps and was able to complete 12 of his 14 passes. He had a great finish to his session.

Players are ready for a full-padded practice tomorrow and we can’t wait to see more of the quarterback competition.

Head coach Bill Belichick has great plans for his players and he will have to make a few more moves to finish rebuilding the roster. The quarterback competition won’t stop here and players will have to play their best football to get the best job in September. NFL analysts have several scenarios for Belichick but it may be too soon to say anything now.

Let’s wait and see what happens in exhibition games. Belichick will watch his players compete and this will help him make good choices.
