Report: Chris Paul, Lakers’ Russell Westbrook Seen Chilling Out in LA

Chris Paul made people talk and this time everyone is talking about his meeting with Russell Westbrook. Yes, the Phoenix Suns veteran met with the newly-signed Los Angeles Lakers star. What does this mean? Well, it didn’t take long before fans started talking about these two teaming up.

CP3 knows how to fuel speculations. Is he on his way to the Los Angeles Lakers? Well, LA doesn’t have much cap space and trade assets. They have already traded three players to get Westbrook from the Washington Wizards.

The Lakers got Westbrook in a blockbuster trade. They sent Kyle Kuzma, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Montrezl Harrell, and the No.22 pick to Washington to get the veteran. Kuzma and other players included in the trade confirmed the move.

Chris Paul and Russell Westbrook are good friends

So, Paul hangs out with Westbrook ahead of free agency. We all heard those rumors about him joining the Lakers. This short adventure in LA was more than enough for fans to start talking about them. Are they teaming up?

This happened right after reports suggested that CP3 declined his $44.2 million option with the Suns. He will become an unrestricted free agent. Many believe he did this to get a new deal with the NBA Finals contenders. Well, fans have at least one good reason to believe that Paul may go somewhere else.

The Lakers have big contracts for LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Russell Westbrook. There’s almost no chance for them to get Paul on the big deal he demands from NBA teams. Marc Berman of the New York Post reported that Paul will try to get a three-year deal worth $100 million.

LA has Westbrook and they will probably stop going after another superstar. Paul would be a good addition for the Lakers, but LA doesn’t have much to offer. Maybe Paul and Westbrook are just hanging out. Let’s see how will the whole thing work out at the end. It’s showtime!
