Rob Ninkovich Shares His Insight On How Patriots Currently See Mac Jones

NFL experts have a few theories on how the New England Patriots view Mac Jones. The rookie quarterback Mac Jones was awesome in the preseason, showing Bill Belichick that he had good reason to draft him.

The Patriots selected Jones in the first round of the NFL draft. They used the 15th overall pick to get the Alabama prospect and yes, it was a good decision.

Jones was brilliant in both preseason games. This will only stir the pot. The Patriots have yet to make a decision on his next starting quarterback.

Belichick had great feeling about the rookie and Jones may be the best decision he has ever made in his career.

Cam Newton has his hands on the starting job, but Jones can easily change the way things roll. Several reports have suggested that the Patriots like what they get from the rookie.

Rob Ninkovich shared his thoughts on the Patriots quarterback battle. He showed what he knows about Jones. The former Patriots edge rusher says that Jones has been really impressive. Jones was able to take full control of the offense in the very first preseason game.

“From what I hear coming from that building through camp, Mac Jones has been very, very, very, very impressive,” Ninkovich said Friday morning on WEEI. “So, you think about just understanding the offense … how hard that offense can be, for him to come in and literally be able to take control of the offense in the first preseason game — I haven’t seen Cam run no-huddle. Can we see him run no-huddle? Why is Mac Jones running two games in a row no-huddle, backed up, too. It’s impressive.”

Jones has impressive football IQ and this will sure give him a good spot in the NFL. It may be too soon for Belichick to make a decision. It’s too soon to make a prediction, but we do believe Jones will be a bright sport one day. For now, Belichick is happy with his rookie and he has great plans for his NFL future.
