Russell Westbrook Has a New Challenge For LeBron And the Lakers

Russell Westbrook joined the Los Angeles Lakers through a blockbuster trade. General manager Rob Pelinka sent Kyle Kuzma, KCP, and Montrezl Harrell to the Washington Wizards just to get Westbrook. He also gave up on the No.22 pick of the 2021 draft. The Lakers got Westbrook and two second-rounders.

Getting Westbrook was easy, but the veteran will give LA a big challenge. He will probably raise the game for the purple and gold. This means that Westbrook will also raise the level of difficulty for LBJ. That’s what some experts say.

LeBron is a true leader and he can play pretty much any position. Of course, there are a few positions he is comfortable with and LA keeps him within his comfortable zone. Frank Vogel trusted LeBron enough to give him the lead and the kid from Akron is leading the offense. His leadership skills helped the Lakers win a title in Orlando.

Russell Westbrook joins the Lakers for the win

Westbrook is elite playmaker with great skills. LA got the nine-time All-Star last week and their reason is simple. They needed another superstar on the roster to make things easier for LeBron James and Anthony Davis. Westbrook joined the Lakers at the right time.

The newly-acquired Laker is pretty similar to LeBron in terms of style. However, he is less precise and less efficient. Vogel will give him a huge responsibility in the upcoming season, but Westbrook won’t be the No.1 player on the Lakers roster. He will step in as a third option on the floor and this position comes with a big challenge. LeBron and Westbrook have already met to discuss their roles on the floor. AD may pull out a different style this season. Whatever it takes to take the team to a win. The Lakers need to win another championship. They will add pretty much everyone who can score. Rob Pelinka have to calculate his moves.

The Lakers will have to make a few moves in the offseason and the coaching staff will probably create the best formula for his players.
