Update Revealed On Patriots’ David Andrew Injury

The New England Patriots were close to losing a valuable player. Patriots fans were really worried about David Andrews and his injury. However, the team provided a promising update on the player.

It’s time for some good news!

Will Andrews miss a lot of time on the field?

Sunday’s training camp practice ended up too soon for Andrews as he suffered a hand injury. But, fans have nothing to worry about because his X-rays came back clean. Doug Kyed from Pro Football Focus confirmed the information in his most recent report.

Andrews missed four games due to a broken thumb early in 2020. He finished Sunday’s practice at the sidelines.

Top center/guard backup Ted Karras will probably be full participant now. He sat out six practices due to a knee injury. Veteran James Ferentz stepped in as Andrews’ replacement in the offensive line.

David Andrews needs to return from his injury on time

Sunday was bad day for New England. The team also lost tight end Hunter Henry and Joe Cardona to injuries. Both players left the field after being treated by the medical staff. Both Cardona and Henry can miss significant time. Mike Reiss from ESPN and Jeff Howe from The Athletic wrote about this.

The Patriots will hold afternoon practices Monday and Tuesday. This will be like a rehearsal for the preseason opener against Washington Football Team at Gillette Stadium.

Andrews has a key role with the Patriots. Head coach Bill Belichick relies his game on several key players, and Andrews is one of them. There are several critical spots on the Patriots roster right now and we can only imagine the pressure on the sidelines.

Belichick is set to make a few more moves to adjust his roster to perfection. He has to get ready for the new season. The Miami Dolphins are coming to New England in Week 1. Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will visit Gillette Stadium in Week 4. Will Andrews join his teammates for the big game?

The Patriots need all the talent he can get to make the playoffs in 2021. The team missed the chance to win a title last season, remember?
