Vanessa Bryant Delivers Emotional Message On Kobe Bryant’s Birthday
Vanessa Bryant delivered a message for her husband Kobe, and it’s was a really emotional birthday wish.
August 23 is one of the most important days in NBA history. It’s the birthday of a legend. Kobe Bryant would have turned 43 today. Pretty much everyone involved in the whole NBA thing honored the Black Mamba on the big day.
Kobe died in a helicopter crash on January 26, 2020. The world had a hard time accepting the loss.
Vanessa Bryant wishes her husband Kobe a happy birthday
On Monday, the Black Mamba would have celebrated his birthday. His wife, gorgeous Vanessa took to her social media to commemorate the big day.
She shared a photo of her and Kobe. They are kissing while holding the Larry O’Brien trophy. This photo was probably taken after the Los Angeles Lakers won a championship. Fun fact? Kobe earned five rings in his NBA career.
Vanessa also wrote an emotional message to her husband.
“Happy birthday, Papi. Te Amo por siempre. Amor Eterno,” she wrote on Instagram Monday.
A lot of basketball names did the same.
LeBron James, Russell Wilson, Carmelo Anthony, Novak Djokovic, Jayson Tatum and many others commemorated the day. Kobe’s former teammate, Pau Gasol, had something to say too. It was a hard day for everyone and they all miss Kobe.
Kobe and his daughter Gigi died in a helicopter crash outside Los Angeles. The tragedy shocked the world and it was hard to believe that the Black Mamba had died without a last goodbye.
Athletes all around the world had honored Kobe with great tributes during their games and matches.
Vanessa and her girls went through a nightmare in the last 19 months. But, she knows she has to move on and do the best for her and her daughters.
“Lying in bed crying isn’t going to change the fact that my family will never be the same again,” Vanessa told People.com in March. “… But getting out of bed and pushing forward is going to make the day better for my girls and for me. So that’s what I do.”
