Watch: Russell Westbrook Delivers Savage Statement to Those Calling Lakers Old

Russell Westbrook is putting on a purple and gold uniform after the Los Angeles Lakers traded for him. General Manager Rob Pelinka traded Kyle Kuzma, Montrezl Harrell, and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope to get the All-Star. Westbrook will turn 33 in November, and he seems to be playing elite basketball right now.

Westbrook is not the only player Pelinka added in the offseason. The Lakers also signed Carmelo Anthony, Trevor Ariza, Kendrick Nunn, and a few others. Dwight Howard returned to LA and he wants to win a championship with the Lakers. Another one. LA didn’t get a championship parade after the title they won inside the NBA bubble.

Well, some analysts criticized the Lakers for the decisions they made in the offseason. Why did Pelinka add all those veterans to his roster? LA has the oldest roster in the NBA at the moment.

As you may be guessing, Westbrook is not really bothered with this. LeBron James likes his new teammates too. They have great playoff experience and this will be of great help in the upcoming title run.

Russell Westbrook blasts Lakers critics

The veteran guard is one of the younger players on the team but he decided to defend his teammates. He made some cool comments regarding all the criticism his team has faced lately.

The Lakers have strong veteran presence at the moment.

LeBron will turn 37 in December, but Anthony Davis is 28. These two did wonders on the basketball floor last season. The same happened in the season they won a title. Unfortunately, they struggled to stay healthy in the 2020-21 NBA season.

Westbrook is the perfect addition to the Lakers. He is the third superstar behind the duo.

LeBron shares the same opinion with his younger teammate. He even blasted critics with a strong message on Twitter which was later deleted. LeBron likes his new teammates and he is ready to win some games with them.

Pelinka may consider adding another veteran at the moment. He has worked out Isaiah Thomas and two other veterans. But, the team has yet to make a decision on his next move.
