Bill Belichick Denies Bombshell Tom Brady Report In New Patriots Book

Seth Wickersham fired up fans with his latest book titled “It’s Better to Be Feared.” The new Patriots book discusses several major topics, including team owner Robert Kraft and his relationship with head coach Bill Belichick. It also covers Tom Brady’s departure from New England and the awkward Super Bowl benching. The release of the book triggered an avalanche of reactions and yes, it was released at the right time. I mean, Tom Brady is coming to Foxboro on Sunday to meet his former head coach and some of his former teammates.

In his book, Wickersham wrote that Belichick didn’t want to see his quarterback in person after Brady announced his decision to leave New England. Wickersham wrote that Belichick actually wanted to speak on the phone.

Bill Belichick denies comments from new Patriots book

If you ask Belichick, he will deny any of this. The Patriots head coach addressed Wickersham’s comment.

“No, that’s not true,” Belichick said. “And there are a few things about this book. It sounds like it’s a lot of second-, third- and fourth-hand comments. But I’m not going to get into that. I’m going to focus on this game and try to prepare for the Bucs.”

Reporters insist that Belichick talks about Brady’s departure. Why did he leave the Patriots after all those years? Many thought that Brady would retire as a Patriots quarterback. Coach Belichick said it’s all part of the past now. As always, he us focused on the game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

“I would say all that’s in the past right now,” Belichick said. “I’m looking forward to the game.”

Here’s more. Belichick has nothing but words of praise for Brady. They worked together for two decades and Belichick had the privilege to watch Brady become the greatest quarterback of all-time.

“Tom has had an unbelievable career,” Belichick said. “There’s not enough superlatives and adjectives to compliment him on everything that he’s achieved and continues to achieve. It’s unbelievably impressive.”

Is he mad at Brady? Is he disappointed?

“It’s always been good,” Belichick said of his relationship with Brady.
