Julian Edelman Gives Confusing Take on Tom Brady Return to New England

The New England Patriots will welcome the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Foxboro on Oct. 3. We all know what that means. Former Patriots quarterback Tom Brady will return to New England as a quarterback of the opposing team. This will be the most awkward game in league history. NFL fans started talking about this game at the very first moment the schedule was announced. Brady is coming back to New England as a Buccaneers quarterback? That’s insane! Julian Edelman is here to add fuel to the fire.

The former Patriots wideout believes that Week 4 will be “weird.” He mentioned things like divorced parents and step kid. Edelman knows how to fire up fans on both teams. The Buccaneers will come to New England to beat Bill Belichick’s team with Brady. Belichick and his players will do their best to send the Buccaneers home with a big L on their foreheads.

“It’s definitely going to be weird,” Edelman said, according to Mass Live. “It’s like going to a family barbecue or like a basketball event and you’re the step kid, or you’re like the kid who has divorced parents and your mom and dad are there and you don’t know how to react.

“Are they going to fight? Are they not going to fight? It’s going to be interesting. But, I am excited. Who is not excited for it? It’s going to be an exciting game.”

Tom Brady to make a big splash in his return in New England

So, who is winning this game? Edelman picked his side. He respects Brady and everything he did with the team in the past two decades. However, the 2018 Super Bowl MPV hopes to see Mac Jones beat Tampa Bay. You didn’t think that Edelman would say anything like this, huh?

“Foxborough, man,” Edelman said. “I hope Tom does great and I hope everyone stays healthy. I hope Gronk does great. But I hope it’s just a high scoring battle and maybe little Mac (Jones) comes out (on top).”

Well, the only thing we can do right now is wait for THE game.
