Julian Edelman Ran Down Patriots Sideline Just Like Old Times

Guess who misses the game more than anyone in the world? Former New England Patriots wideout Julian Edelman had the opportunity to hit tie field and ran down the sideline during halftime of the game against the New Orleans Saints.

The retired wideout went down memory lane and reminded us all of his great time with the Patriots. Edelman received special honors today and he was definitely having the time of his life. The 2018 Super Bowl MVP took the big stage to fire up fans. He delivered a speech and brought joy to pretty much everyone at Gillette Stadium.

Julian Edelman ran down the sideline too many times

Edelman is one of the best wide receivers in league history. He has three Super Bowl wins in his portfolio and that Super Bowl MVP sure means a thing. Patriots fans will always remember his catches in Super Bowl XLIX and Super Bowl LI. I guess Edelman really deserves that spot in the Hall of Fame. He was part of the NFL for eleven seasons, stacking 620 receptions for 6,822 yards and 36 touchdowns.

If you as head coach Bill Belichick, he will say Edelman is one of the best players he has ever coached. He shared his words of praise for the wideout recently, and let’s just say this made us feel great. Belichick is not someone who talks a lot. He doesn’t open up or share his emotions. But, he really wanted to talk about Edelman and tell the world that Jules is one of the best players he had on the field.

He is absolutely right. Edelman was an incredible player. He had his down season but this motivated him to go even harder. He was all-in when it comes to winning games and let’s be honest, the Patriots won a lot of games with his help.

There were a lot of stories linking Edelman to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, suggesting that he’d join Tom Brady just like Rob Gronkowski did. Well, Edelman is retired and he won’t change that. He promised to take a step back once his “wheels” come out. That knee injury was his ticket out.
