LeBron James Comment On His High School QB Went Viral

LeBron James was an exceptional athlete in high school. He was great basketball player and a lot of people followed his development. That’s not all. LeBron was also a brilliant football player. Believe it or not, LeBron almost became a football star. We bet he would have been a champion, too.

The Monday Night Football broadcast was impressive! Peyton and Eli Manning welcomed the four-time NBA champion and talked about multiple topics, including LeBron’s football game.

Peyton was impressed with LeBron’s size. They watched LeBron catch a poorly thrown pass. What happened next? Four defenders tackled LeBron. His response made a lot of people talk.

“If I would’ve had a better quarterback in high school, I might have continued to play football,” he said.

This is absolutely true. LeBron was a talented player, but he didn’t really stick to his football squad.

Truth is, LeBron was pretty close to playing in the NFL. Owner Jerry Jones offered him a nice deal. He wanted LeBron to play for the Dallas Cowboys and it was a good offer. Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll offered him a deal too. It happened during the 2011 NBA lockout, but LeBron turned down both offers.

“We were able to get a deal done in the NBA and I was back on the court in no time,” he said. “But I definitely thought about it. I’ve still got the jersey too.”

The Mannings liked the idea of having LeBron on the field. He would have been an incredible receiver.

“I would have thrown so many touchdowns to LeBron,” Peyton said, “Put him out wide, throw the fade, jump ball … 75 touchdowns.”

Well, we can only make guesses. LeBron made a choice two decades ago and he is living his dream. He is doing an incredible job in the NBA and had yet to even think of his retirement. The Los Angeles Lakers are on a good way to win another title. LeBron will help the team make the NBA Finals again. The man needs his fifth ring, remember? His elite basketball is of great help, you’d all agree.
