Metta World Peace Has The Perfect Analogy For Lakers’ Title Hopes

The Los Angeles Lakers made a few big moves in the offseason. Rob Pelinka rebuilt the roster and he got rid of all the players who don’t fit his winning formula. He also signed all the veterans who may help LeBron James and Anthony Davis make the playoffs in the upcoming season. The Lakers were eliminated by the Phoenix Suns early in the postseason and players entered a long offseason. If you ask Metta World Peace, the Lakers did an incredible job.

The legendary player took to his Twitter to share his thoughts on the new-look LA roster. This was more like a warning to the rest of the NBA. According to him, the world will never see another roster like this one.

Good point, right?

Metta World Peace is excited about the new-look Lakers team

That’s what Pelinka had in mind when he brought Russell Westbrook to Los Angeles. He also signed Trevor Ariza, Carmelo Anthony, Malik Monk, and a few other great players. Rajon Rondo came back to LA after a year with the Atlanta Hawks. Dwight Howard came back, too. He had to come back. The Los Angeles Lakers won a ring and he was on the roster that season. Players got their rings in the middle of a pandemic, but they didn’t get the chance to celebrate the win with a parade.

It’s showtime! This is probably the last time we will see all these guys on the same team. Things change quickly and Pelinka makes drastic changes every offseason.

LeBron and AD needed a third superstar to give them a hand. But, they also need to be healthy. LA has a lot of veterans on the roster at the moment and yes, they are the oldest roster in the NBA. Injuries happen overnight and even a minor injury can change the entire game plan. Players need to be 100% to get their ring.

Melo and Westbrook will go after their very first championship. This will motivate them to try even harder to win games. Most of the guys have great postseason experience and this makes things easier for everyone.
