Montrezl Harrell Throws Shade at Anthony Davis For Not Inviting Him to Wedding

Current and former Los Angeles Lakers players enjoyed a big celebration this weekend. Anthony Davis celebrated his love with his gorgeous lady. However, Montrezl Harrell didn’t join Davis during his wedding celebration. Why? These two spent enough time together. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope was there… What happened to Harrell?

If you ask the former Laker, he will say that Davis doesn’t like him.

Montrezl Harrell didn’t attend Davis and his wife’s wedding for a reason

We don’t really know if this is true. Davis hasn’t said much about Harrell. We do know that he didn’t like playing with Dennis Schroder. The Lakers big man was pretty open about this. Schroder was the one teammate he didn’t like playing with. According to several reports, including the one from Eric Pincus from Bleacher Report, Davis was frustrated because he didn’t get enough looks in the post with Denis running the point. He had a much better performance with Rajon Rondo in the previous season. Interestingly, the Lakers brought Rondo back.

What about Harrell?

He had this thing with Lakers players. It looks like they didn’t like him. That’s how he feels about his former team.

The Lakers traded Harrell, Kyle Kuzma, and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope to the Washington Wizards. These three had to go as the Lakers tried to create enough room for Russell Westbrook. Broddie is building a Big 3 with LeBron James and Davis. Harrell is trying his chances somewhere else.

In the 2020-21 NBA season, Harrell was averaging 13.5 points and 6.2 rebounds on 62.2 percent shooting. These numbers are pretty low for someone who got the Sixth Man of the Year honors one season earlier. Here’s the thing. Harrell blames the Lakers for the lack of production. He believes that the franchise didn’t give him too many chances to show his real talent.

The front office got Harrell last offseason, hoping that he would make an impact. Unfortunately, he didn’t have much luck with the team and had to go.

Rondo is taking his former position back and Lakers fans are really happy. His veteran presence was of great help for the team inside the bubble. He is the leader everyone needs by their side at the moment.
